The Crimea RIG/Chapter Listserv is used for Crimea researchers to exchange information and get help researching their Crimean ancestors. It is a closed list, restricted to GRHS members. (It's easy to become a member!)

Purpose of the listserv
To provide an online method for sharing Crimea RIG/Chapter information and research experiences
To encourage networking among Crimea researchers
To discuss our Crimea ancestors' history and culture
To support and organize team projects related to Crimea research
How to join the Crimea RIG/Chapter listserv
Be a current GRHS member
Send a short e-mail to List Manager Yvonne Haefner at yhaefner @ midco.net with an introduction
Yvonne will add you to the list and send you a welcome e-mail with listserv guidelines and instructions
Your introduction will be sent to the listserv so others can get to know you
Note that the Crimea RIG/Chapter listserv can not be used for commercial purposes, such as advertising products nor gathering data to sell to others.
What to include in your introduction message
This is just a short profile to help other researchers get to know a little about you and the families and villages you're researching.
Name and e-mail address
Crimean villages you are researching
Family names from the Crimea you are researching
Where you live (city and state, we don't need your street address unless you want to give it)
Anything you want to share about yourself, how long you've been researching, or how you discovered the listserv
