Joining the GDO RIG is free to all GRHS members. If you would like to join the GRHS go to the GRHS Membership page for more information.
Join the GDO RIG Listserv
Be
sure to join the GDO RIG listserv and connect to a network of friendly
and helpful German-Russians on the GDO listserv. You just might find a
new German-Russian cousin. The GDO listserv is closed to members only
and we encourage all GDO RIG members to sign up for the listserv.
Please include the following information as your introduction to the
group:
- your name and e-mail address
- a list of the GDO village or villages you are researching
- family names you are researching (for GDO villages only)
- which part of the world you presently reside
- include your introduction, GRHS Membership ID
In addition, please mention how you heard of the mailing list and tell us a little about yourself, only what you feel comfortable sharing. Feel free to include anything you care to about your earlier or future research and any other interesting items you can think of. When we receive your information you will be added to the list At that time, you will receive a welcome email with instructions and guidelines.
The GDO Mailing list is co-managed by List Manager Kelly Dazet and Organizing Advisors/Assistants Bob Ell and Val Ingram.
