Kimberly Ligh
Kimmi Ligh is a seventeen-year-old girl who recently graduated from La Serna High School in Whittier, California. She has a passion for writing, mainly fiction, and is currently working on her own novel. However, Kimmi also writes poetry, and likes to play the guitar, paint, and read.
While in high school, Kimmi was a copy editor of the school yearbook, and co-president of the Creative Writing Club. She was also a part of World Vision Club and Entourage Club, which acted as a stage crew for La Serna. On Sundays, she volunteered as a sound technician for her church during the high school service.
Kimmi likes learning about history and what other people's lives were like. When combining that with her love of writing, Kimmi enjoyed writing her short story, "Alphons: A Work of Fiction," very much. She is grateful for this award.
