Notes: Original name was Karagol and listed as found in 1805/09 according to Eduard Mack’s book Erinnerungen an die deutschen Kolonien des Grossliebentaler Rayons bei Odessa. Stumpp book reflects "13 families from Hungary (Temesvar and Kula) again departed. In 1806 – 1809 thirty-eight families came from Alsace and the Rhine Palatinate." This would tend to reflect why the earlier 1805 founding date, and also reflect why others use the founding date of 1808.
