Bookmarks, printing and saving on the GDO
RIG Web Site
We use a new method of displaying pages on this website called
Frames. This method has great advantages but it also has disadvantages. One
of these disadvantages is that it is more complicated to save a bookmark to a
particular page on the GRHS website. So here is the work around:
- for those of you using Mozilla/Netscape/Firebird: Click with the
right-mouse-button on the page you wish to bookmark. In the pop up menu you
will see "This Frame" and in the menu for that menu item you will see
"Bookmark this Frame". Select that item and you can save the bookmark to the
exact page you are viewing.
- for those of you with IE: Click with the right-mouse-button on
the page you wish to bookmark. In the pop up menu you will see "Add to
Favorites...". Select that item and you can save the bookmark to the exact
page you are viewing.
Another way to get a bookmark to an exact page is to change the view to only
that page. You do this using these instructions:
- for those of you using Mozilla/Netscape/Firebird: Click with the
right-mouse-button on the page you wish to bookmark. In the pop up menu you
will see "This Frame" and in the menu for that menu item you will see "Show
Only This Frame". Select that item and you can save the bookmark to the
exact page you are viewing.
- for those of you with IE: Click with the right-mouse-button on
the page you wish to bookmark. In the pop up menu you will see "Create
Shortcut". Select that item and a shortcut to that page will be placed on
your desktop. Double-click on the shortcut, a new browser window will open
and you can then save the bookmark to the exact page you are viewing.
These methods will also allow you to print only that exact page in the frame
without the GDO header or menu bars.
