Notice there is a gas station to the right of the sign
This is where the cemetery used to be.
This picture was taken as we drove by. We did not stop in Beresina.
There is now a memorial there for the Germans who founded the village of Hoffnungstal which no longer exists. The sign is written on German on one side and Ukrainian on the other.
This is the side with Ukrainian text.
Gnadenfeld is also known as Blagodatne in Ukraine. Carolyn Schott is standing next to the sign as this is one of her ancestral villages.
