Zurichtal Parish Church Records
When the first colonist arrived in the Zuerichtal region in 1803, they became a part of the Lutheran parish of Neusatz. Finally in 1822, their first pastor, Heinrich Deitrich arrived in Zuerichtal from Switzerland. A small church was completed just prior to his arrival. Pastor Dietrich died in 1827.
After this time, Pastor Kylius arrived from Baden and served the parish for 3 and 1/2 years until Pastor Kyber arrived in August 1831. Pastor Kyber served this parish until 1858, where after a succession of pastors took his place.
