Chronology of Neufall, Bessarabia

               1867 The village of Neufall was founded. 

 

                         Perhaps the name was derived from the term “Neues Gefälle”.  Meaning “new slope” since the village was built on a new found land which was sloping toward the Black Sea.

 

                         10 miles from Neu Posttal and 16.6 miles from Akkermann

 

               1869  belonged to the Benkendorf Parish

 

               1897  belonged to the Neu Posttal Parish

 

               1924  Hectare community established with 22 farmsteads at 14.8 acres per farm

 

          1932-33  First ever promenade built with modern American equipment.

 

                         Some of the prominent teachers (also lay teacher) were:

                         Albert Bossert, Benjamin Hartwich and Friedrich Grade.

 

               1940  resettlement
