The holdings in this Repository is intended for the GRHS and Bessarabian RIG members to download onto their own computer to use in your research.
The materials will be retained in their original state [MS Word, Excel, etc.] and compressed so download time is kept to a minimum.
These are copyrighted materials that are provided for sharing in support of your research. If you desire to use significant portions in you own work, you must attain contact with the copyright holder and ensure you gain their blessing and permission.
Most of the materials are of an index nature, and as such cannot be expected to be pure in form, as indexing projects normally do not entail a proofing phase. The concept of what an index is intended to do for the researcher is considered very important. These index materials are only shared so the researcher can use the pointers provided to find the raw/original data for the families they are researching. No researcher should cease the chase for data by just gathering/collecting index data - please go to that data the indexes point you to and gather the real materials on your families. The index is just an aid, and that is all, nothing more.
