What's Happening at GRHS
August
- The 2010 Annual International Convention held in Bismarck, North Dakota was a huge success. Thanks goes to our Board of Directors for hosting, all the volunteers who stepped up, the staff at the Ramkota Best Western Hotel and Convention Center and to you for making it a pleasurable convention
- 5 members of the Board of Directors were elected. They are Milt Kramer, Wanda Hopkins, Duane Stabler, Hal Habermann and Sundae Orwick
- Our newly elected Officers are President - Don Ehreth; Vice President - Milt Kramer; Secretary - Valerie Ingram; Treasurer - Don Heck; Member at Large - Val Wangler
- The 2011 Annual International Convention will be held in Spokane, Washington July 20 - 24 at the elegant Davenport Hotel and hosted by the Inland Northwest Chapter. Start making plans to attend. We hope to see you there!
- Congratulations Members! The sign outside our headquarters is now completely paid for. Thank you all for your generous donations. Donations are still being accepted towards the maintenance of the building.

- Work has begun behind the scenes for the revamping of our web site using the new Logo. This will take some time and we ask the patience of our membership during this process. The Search function and Navigation are just two of the main concerns - along with removal of the frames.
- GRHS Blog has been set up and prepared for use during our convention.
- Stay up to date by checking the 2010 Convention web page. There are great workshops planned.
April
- Board of Directors meeting was April 24th.
- In a vote of confidence, the board has accepted Vincent Humann as our new president. Don Ehreth was nominated and accepted as the new Vice President and Valerie Ingram was nominated and accepted as the new Secretary
- 3 empty board positions were filled by Anton Schweitzer, Margaret Rehwalt and Diane Wandler.
- New disks of data are arriving weekly. Please won't you consider becoming a part of the translating team? No experience necessary. Contact

- The new logo has been finalized and approved.
- Eric Schmaltz is the new Editor of Heritage Review. Diane Wandler is Production Editor.
- The Genealogy Database is the most visited section of the entire website.
- With 172 entries for the Youth Essay Contest that have been received, the Youth Committee has it's hands full.
- 2010 Convention is getting closer! Have you sent in your registration form yet?
