• EWZ Village-Family Indices Project for GDO - extractions for the village of Josefstal. Many thanks to Betty Lang for organizing these extractions. We also need to thank those who did the original translating, indexing, and proofing of the files that Betty used for the extractions.
• GDO Ship List Database  has been updated for the villages of Kleinliebental (surnames DERINGER, DESCHLE, and DOSCH), Neu Liebental (surname ULM) and Odessa (surnames GOTZ and SCHLICK). Many thanks to Elena Gabriel for sharing information on these villages. This information has also been included in the GDO Families database included in the Genealogy Database.
• 274-2-17 - 1892 Statistical Journals About the Odessa uyezd country population for the village of Alexanderfeld and Krasnoye (Alexanderfeld volost). Notes regarding these villages are at the bottom of each spreadsheet.
• Kleinliebental Family Database Project.  Surnames starting with the letter V, W, Z, and the surnames WALDMANN, WILDEMANN, and WOLF. Many thanks to Bob Deck for sharing information on the DECK and MATERI families and Elena Gabriel for sharing information on the KAISER, LUTZ, MALSAM, MERTJAN, OCHS, SAHLI, SELENSKY, AND WOLFF families.

• The GDO death notices are now searchable. Go to the Death Notices Search page and type in the surname you are researching. Besides the death notices page by village, I have also included a new death notices alphabetical listing page.
• Photographs of the Heimatmuseum der Deutschen aus Bessarabien" in Stuttgart, Germany were added. Even though these pictures are from the Bessarabia Museum, it will still give you a good idea of how our German ancestors dressed and lived.
• GDO home page has a new look! Join the GDO RIG was added to the left menu.
• Kleinliebental Family Database Project.  Surnames starting with the letter S, SCH, T, U and the surnames Sahli, Schlich, and Schnurr. Many thanks to Elena Gabriel for extracting this data and to everyone who did the translating, indexing, and proofing of the files that Elena used for the extraction.
• GDO Ship List Database  has been updated for the village of Neu Freudental. Many thanks to Katherine Bell for sharing information on the SCHATZ families from Neu Freudental.
• GDO Death Notices Database Project. I recently indexed the Volk Auf Dem Weg for the year 2008 (Jan - Oct) and added the following to the database: Alexanderhilf - Schmidtke/Baumgartner; Grossliebental - Weiss/Haid; Blumenfeld - Mok; and Wygoda - Mok.
• EWZ Village-Family Indices Project for GDO - more Neu Freudental files added. This concludes the EWZ files for the Neu Freudental village. Again many thanks to Betty Lang for extracting this data and for all the other volunteers who did the translations, indexing and proofing of the files that Betty used for extraction project.

These files are a work in progress and not all villages are completed.
