Bessarabia RIG Listserv

The Bessarabia RIG Listserv is used for Bessarabia researchers to exchange information and get help researching their Bessarabian ancestors.

The closed list is restricted to GRHS members.

Purpose of the listserv

• To provide an online method for sharing Bessarabia RIG information and research experiences
• To encourage networking among Bessarabian researchers
• To discuss our Bessarabian ancestors' history and culture
• To support and organize team projects related to Bessarabia (& Dobrudscha!) research

How to join the Bessarabia RIG listserv

1. You must be a current GRHS member.
2. Email an introduction message or brief profile to help other researchers get to know a little about you and the families and villages you're researching. See questions below
   • Name and e-mail address
   • Bessarabia and Dobrudscha villages you are researching
   • Family names you are researching (Bessarabia & Dobrudscha area...if you're researching your Swedish roots, for example, you don't really need to list those!)
   • Where you live (city and state, we don't need your street address unless you want to give it)
   • Anything you want to share about yourself, how long you've been researching, or how you discovered the listserv
3. Email your introduction to Listserv Administrator Elaine Morrison at:
   
   
4. Elaine will add you to the list and send you a welcome e-mail with listserv guidelines and instructions
5. Your introduction will be sent to the listserv so others can get to know you

*Note that the Bessarabia RIG listserv can not be used for commercial purposes, such as advertising products nor gathering data to sell to others.
